Meet Your Electrologist

Hi I’m Cricket! Community has always been at the heart of what I do. I believe that when we show up for one another, we all do better, and that belief has shaped my career, my volunteer work, and ultimately, the creation of Zip Zap Hair Removal.

Before opening Zip Zap, I worked in women's health, adolescent health, and infectious disease across clinical, research, and academic settings. I earned my Master's in Public Health with concentrations in Global Health and Maternal & Child Health, and I've spent years advocating for underserved communities through volunteer work supporting survivors of sexual assault, women's shelters, and reproductive justice organizations.

After taking time away from my career to raise my kids, I realized I still wanted to make a meaningful impact in my community. Zip Zap is where my passion for healthcare, education, and helping people feel at home in their bodies comes together.

Why Electrolysis?

I believe electrolysis is healthcare, not vanity.

We're currently a small practice with limited hours while we grow, and we're incredibly grateful for your support and patience.

Looking ahead, our biggest goal is to increase access to trans-affirming electrolysis. We're building a community fund that will help cover supplies, clinic costs, and treatment time so financial barriers don't stand in the way of receiving affirming care.

When I'm not in the treatment room, I'm usually with my kids, hunting for thrifted treasures, reading, crafting, playing mahjong, or convincing my 70 pound dog that he's not actually a lap dog.
